Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join a high-impact SAP cloud transformation initiative. The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable backend services for SAP cloud applications, enabling an AI-powered self-service solution that operates 24/7 for business partners.
This solution retrieves information from backend systems, significantly reducing resolution times, improving partner experience, and easing operational workload.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, SAP BTP, and CAP, along with experience integrating SAP systems such as SAP S/4HANA.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.jsfor SAP cloud applications.
Build and extend applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
Integrate backend services with SAP S/4HANAand other SAP systems.
Develop and consume OData servicesand REST APIs.
Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and securityin cloud-native solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.
Support integration of AI and generative AI-based capabilitiesinto backend services.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and solution optimization.
Required Skills Qualifications
8+ years of overall SAP experience with strong backend development exposure.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
Solid knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
Experience working with SAP HANA Cloud.
Strong understanding of OData services and API-based integrations.
Familiarity with API design and generative AI concepts.
Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
