What you’ll do:
The primary function of the EMEA Category Manager is to manage designated categories of Indirect Spend within the EMEA region, ensuring an uninterrupted and timely supply at the optimum cost and quality that satisfies stakeholder requirements and company goals. This includes supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting and supplier performance management. Designated categories under Professional Services \& IT (e.g. HR, Office Products, IT, Finance, Legal). The EMEA Category Manager is responsible for the definition and deployment, in conjunction with key stakeholders across all business groups, of the Sourcing strategy for the designated categories across all countries in EMEA. The position is responsible for the regional selection and relationship building with key suppliers, for an effective program management of designated categories within the region and for the year over year reduction in overall total cost of ownership of the same.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides regional leadership, management and oversight for the designated Professional Services \& IT categories (Total \~$80m spend) on a region wide (EMEA) basis.
Under the leadership of the EMEA Professional Services \& IT Procurement Lead, in conjunction with respective business unit stakeholders and the Corporate GPO Global Category Leads, develop, align and deploy effective key Category strategies for the related categories, with accountability to positively impact associated annual category spend.
Deliver an annual Cost Out into the businesses P\&L \& drive Cost Avoidance of inflationary and discretionary spending items (where appropriate), impacting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for assigned categories, increasing leverage across a rationalized set of preferred supplier partners.
Responsible to define and document a Preferred Supplier List and contracts roadmap, working collaboratively with business units to convert spend to either ‘strategic’ or ‘approved’ supply base. With this approach, create and leverage a rationalized supply base that covers the majority of spend and is managed at a strategic level.
Leading and occasionally supporting RFP/RFQ exercises on supported categories and sub-categories, including coordination with all the regions and project management until deployment is fully executed
Driving a culture of continuous improvement, through deployment of common standards and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of experience in SCM
Skills:
Excellent SCM sourcing and supplier management process and deployment knowledge
Strong negotiation skills, contracting experience and customer orientation
Experience in Professional Services and IT Procurement would be an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong ability to effectively communicate with Top Managers
Inter-functional interaction in a highly demanding environment
Efficient negotiator, leadership in communication, service oriented.
