Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Director to join our EHN Guardians team and foster strategic partnerships with first responder groups and organizations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the first responder industry, strong sales experience, and a passion for supporting those who protect and serve our communities. This is a national position that requires travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Industry Analysis: Identify key groups, organizations and funding mechanisms to inform business development strategies. This will include but is not limited to, First Responder Organizations, Unions, Employers, Workers Compensation Boards and Peer support groups.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with first responder organizations, employers, unions and other key stakeholders within the First Responder sector

Sales Strategy \& Execution: Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our presence and partnerships with first responder groups that will result in an increase in first responder admissions.

Product/Service Alignment: Collaborate with our Clinical and Operations teams to ensure our programs and facilities align with the needs of first responder groups.

Networking \& Events: Represent EHN Guardians at industry events and conferences to promote our inpatient and outpatient programming.

Customer Retention: Work closely with our Corporate Care Specialist team to ensure seamless admission, treatment experience, reporting and communication and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Safety, or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably with experience in the public safety or first responder sectors.

Strong understanding of first responder needs, challenges, and regulations.

Proven track record of successfully driving sales and partnerships within the public sector.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders at all levels.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with mental health, addiction and trauma treatment for first responders.

Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

Lived experience as a First Responder or family member of a First Responder (Police, Firefighter, Paramedic, etc.)
