Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities
Design and develop robust cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace, and OpenStack.
Implement and manage virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix, Docker, Kubernetes, and system hardening practices to optimize security and performance.
Develop automation scripts and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and Shell Scripting to streamline deployment processes.
Build and maintain scalable web services and APIs using RESTful architecture principles with languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Go, and .NET.
Ensure system security through comprehensive system hardening measures and implement network security protocols including VPNs for secure remote access.
Collaborate within Agile teams to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Git, Docker containers, and other DevOps practices.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance using industry-standard tools; troubleshoot issues proactively; perform regular system updates and patches for optimal security compliance.
Support database management tasks involving MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server with expertise in T-SQL and PL/SQL for data integrity and performance tuning.
Contribute to the development of microservices architectures leveraging REST APIs and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB for high availability applications.
Experience
Proven experience designing and deploying cloud solutions across multiple platforms including AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure or Rackspace.
Deep understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, Citrix XenServer; experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong background in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
Hands-on experience with cloud architecture design principles for IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) models.
Knowledge of web services development using RESTful APIs; experience with microservices architecture; proficiency in JavaScript frameworks or Node.js is a plus.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), network security protocols including VPNs; understanding of system hardening practices.
Experience working within Agile development environments following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies; strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
