Shadow Health
team. Our services include the Learning Management System that allows learners to interact with Digital Standardized Patients, services that enable our Narrative and Simulation Engineers to author new content, and many other tools that support the team’s mission to improve healthcare education through immersive digital experiences.

About The Role
We are seeking a talented and collaborative
Software Engineer II

Python
to join our Shadow Health development team in Mexico City. You will contribute to building and enhancing web services and applications that support healthcare education through simulation-based learning.
Responsibilities
Work with the Tech Lead to solve moderate complexity software engineering problems
Build new features and improve existing ones for our Learning Management System
Review code from other engineers and provide constructive feedback
Complete simple bug fixes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
3+ years of Software Engineering experience
3+ years of Python web development
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Ruby web development is a plus
Experienced in TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS, React, and SQL
Ability to work with simple data models
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
Knowledge of test-driven development
Daily use of industry best practices such as code coverage
