Profile: Cloud / Platform Operations Engineer (AWS)
We are looking for a Cloud / Platform Operations Engineer with strong AWS experience, focused on operating, scaling, and securing production workloads.
Core skills \& experience:
Strong general AWS knowledge, including networking, security, monitoring, and cost awareness
Hands-on experience operating containerized workloads on ECS Fargate
Experience with AWS Batch for large-scale or scheduled compute workloads
Solid understanding of IAM, including roles, policies, permission boundaries, and cross-account access
Operational experience with Windows Server environments at scale
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including integration with AWS Directory Services
Comfortable supporting production systems with on-call, incident handling, and root cause analysis
Related technologies / domain knowledge:
Familiarity with data and ETL platforms in AWS (e.g. Athena, Glue, data lakes, SQL-based systems)
Experience working with relational databases (SQL, preferably MSSQL) in an operational context
Experience with Python or scripting for automation, operational tooling, and maintenance tasks
Nice-to-have / preferred experience:
Experience with streaming or event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka, Flink)
Exposure to non-relational datastores and column-oriented data stores
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
General expectations:
Able to operate and scale AWS-based platforms reliably and securely
Strong focus on operational excellence, automation, and least-privilege security
Comfortable working across application, data, and infrastructure team
Strong English skills
