We are looking for a Lead AWS Developer specializing in observability engineering to lead the creation and enhancement of observability pipelines and tools using OpenTelemetry, Go, and AWS services.
You will work closely with multiple engineering teams to refine observability strategies and ensure system robustness. Join us and play a key role in pioneering projects while advancing your leadership career.
Responsibilities
Design and implement observability pipelines and tools leveraging OpenTelemetry, Go, and AWS
Develop and oversee CI/CD job templates to automate functional testing for APIs and web platforms
Collaborate with technical leads, managers, and software development engineers in test to define requirements and establish priorities
Customize CI/CD templates, configure testing environments, and validate integration processes
Lead planning sessions including estimation, task allocation, and monitoring progress of engineering tasks
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and promote knowledge exchange within teams
Adjust to changing project requirements and emerging technologies to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables
Manage technical debt and support maintenance and upgrades of observability infrastructure
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience with strong skills in Go and/or Python
Proven experience working with AWS in live production settings
In-depth knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and principles of cloud-native architecture
Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Strong foundation in software development best practices including testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies
Effective communicator and adaptable team collaborator
English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
Proficient scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell
Understanding of observability platforms like Grafana, New Relic, or Datadog
Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or React
Familiarity with CI/CD tools including GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Spinnaker
