We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Product Owner
with a strong background in Financial Services. Prior experience in insurance or annuities is highly valued, as is expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Product Manager to understand the product vision and roadmap
Identify product capabilities, features, and functions to align with business objectives
Define Epics, user stories, and key success criteria for deliverables
Elaborate on user stories, business logic, and desired business outcomes
Manage product scope, prioritize capabilities, Epics, and user stories effectively
Participate in sprint reviews, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with goals
Track feedback and incorporate it into the product backlog with proper prioritization
Actively engage in incident triaging and resolution processes
Be the primary point of contact for business questions and clarifications
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred
5+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements management
At least 2 years in managerial roles
Strong expertise in Product Ownership and Product Management
Deep understanding of the Insurance industry
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Scrum processes
Showcase of business acumen and customer-centric thinking
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
English proficiency at a B2 level to ensure effective communication and documentation
Nice to have
Familiarity with annuities and retirement planning
Experience using Atlassian Jira and Scaled Agile Framework
Capability to define and refine user stories within an Agile process
