We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with an open-minded personality who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts. The position requires being on shifts: early shift: 7am – 1pm UK time, late shift: 1pm – 7pm UK time (WFO is not expected during the days a person is on shift). When you are NOT on shifts, you’ll be required to work from office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

Provide support to a development team from Ops perspective

Configure Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines

Configure new and already existing environments

Participate in discussions, influence outcomes, and make recommendations on feasibility and processes and architecture

Devise/modify procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results

Consult with users, and develop business relationships, and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation

Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions

Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels

Troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces

Requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline

Extensive DevOps experience (over 3 years) in supporting and releasing client solutions, particularly within Microsoft environments

Background in PowerShell or similar scripting technologies like Python or Bash

Proficiency in CI tools like TeamCity, source control systems like BitBucket, and artifacts management systems like Artifactory

Solid understanding of SDLC and CI/CD practices

Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

Competency in high availability, high performance, multi-data center system design

Understanding of finance business domains is preferred

Problem-solving and analytical skills coupled with teamwork and autonomy capabilities

Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

English level of minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate)

Nice to have

Knowledge of cloud-based computing and Azure

Expertise in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with tools like Control-M or other job workflow systems

Familiarity with Jira and SQL databases, including RDBMS optimization

Basic debugging skills in C# or similar programming languages

Understanding of RESTful services and AMQP protocols (e.g., RabbitMQ, AMPS)

Exposure to SAN arrays (Nimble)

Background in virtualization technologies like VMWare
