Frontend Developer – Peterborough (Hybrid, UK)

Essential skills:

React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS

Desirable skills:

Redux, REST APIs, Micro-frontend architecture, CI/CD pipelines

We are looking for a mid-level frontend developer to join our cross-functional Agile development team delivering EDI products. You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality, maintainable user interfaces as part of our cloud-native platform. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with designers, backend developers and product stakeholders. You’ll help mentor peers, and deliver high-quality, user-friendly UIs as part of our cloud-native EDI platform.

Core Skills

Strong experience with React and TypeScript in a production environment

Proficient in HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and responsive design

Experience integrating with RESTful APIs

Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library)

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Self-motivated and proactive

Desirable Skills

Exposure to micro-frontend architecture

Understanding of mocking tools such as Nock for testing API interactions

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Experience contributing to or maintaining shared component libraries

Breakdown

Software development (coding, testing, design, peer reviews, documentation etc) - 75%

Sprint activities (planning, stand ups, retrospectives, backlog reviews etc) - 15%

Learning and knowledge sharing - 10%
