Overview of Role
Our client is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join the DevOps Centre of Excellence team. The role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, ensuring resilience, compliance, and operational excellence across digital platforms. The ideal engineer will demonstrate a strong security-first mindset and bring advanced expertise in automation, monitoring, and continuous delivery within enterprise environments.
Role \& Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions in line with Centre of Excellence standards.
Integrate and maintain secure artefact repositories with JFrog Artifactory.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
Implement automated security scanning and code quality checks using Snyk and SonarQube.
Proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities through automated testing and code analysis.
Monitor and troubleshoot systems to maintain performance, reliability, and security.
Implement observability solutions using Azure App Insights, DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams using Jira workflows.
Define and document reusable DevSecOps patterns, templates, and best practices in the CoE playbook.
Ensure adherence to client's governance, compliance, and security standards.

Skills, Qualifications \& Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
Advanced Terraform experience for infrastructure automation and version-controlled deployments.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (Azure Container Apps).
CI/CD pipeline automation using GitHub Actions (design, integration, optimisation).
Expertise with artefact management tools such as JFrog Artifactory.
Security tooling experience with Snyk and SonarQube for vulnerability management.
Monitoring and logging proficiency with DataDog, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Scripting and automation in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Familiarity with OpenShift Container Platform is a plus.

Experience
Demonstrated experience in designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines for enterprise cloud environments.
Strong background working within agile teams using Jira for transparent project delivery.
Proven history in applying DevSecOps principles and automated security testing.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimise systems for performance and reliability.

Education \& Certifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications desirable, such as Azure Administrator, Terraform Associate, CKA/CKAD, or DevSecOps Practitioner.
Additional cloud or CI/CD tool experience (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) is advantageous.
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards preferred.
