We currently have a vacancy for a Test Automation Engineer - Java /Web Services fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
Design, preparation and monitoring of automated tests;
Contribution to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process;
Evaluation of the tools and technology for automation best fit to the project within the DevSecOps approach;
Creation of an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture;
Design and development (new or modified) of test automation solutions that meet the business needs and apply continuous integration technologies, especially targeting backend/web service-based interfaces;
Enabling the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach;
Creation of automated test reporting and metrics collection;
Test automation;
Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
Requirements
University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 15 years;
At least 1 year of specific expertise in Java;
At least 1 year of specific expertise in Web Services;
Good knowledge of test automation technologies, tools and techniques;
Experience in the creation of test automation solutions involving own programming;
Good knowledge of Test Management and Defect Tracking tools;
Experience in the test data management;
Experience with scripting and programming: Java, Groovy;
Experience working with SQL and database servers;
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture;
Knowledge of Relational DBMS;
Experience using continuous integration techniques and tools: Bamboo, Git;
Experience using testing tools: SoapUI, Postman, Selenium WebDriver;
Experience working with containerisation tools: Docker;
Familiarity with interoperability technology (e.g., web services, message-oriented middleware);
Excellent command of the English language.
