Job Description
We are seeking Senior Java Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE, Python, and Snowflake to support enterprise-scale applications and data platforms. This role requires deep experience integrating backend services with Snowflake cloud data warehouse solutions.
This is a 6-month C2C contract requiring 3 days onsite per week in San Jose, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, J2EE, and Python
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices (Spring Boot preferred)
Build, optimize, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions
Design and manage Snowflake schemas, tables, views, and stages
Develop and tune complex Snowflake SQL queries for performance and scalability
Implement Snowflake data ingestion and ETL pipelines
Work with Snowflake features including:
Virtual Warehouses
Time Travel \& Zero-Copy Cloning
Streams and Tasks
Secure Data Sharing
Integrate Snowflake with Java and Python applications
Monitor Snowflake performance and manage cost optimization
Develop UI components using Angular or React
Collaborate with data engineers, backend developers, and DevOps teams
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews
Required SkillsBackend / Full Stack
10+ years of experience with Java / J2EE
Strong experience building Spring Boot microservices
Hands-on Python scripting for backend logic and data processing
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web services
Frontend experience with Angular or React (JavaScript/TypeScript)
Snowflake \& Data Engineering (Must Have)
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform
Advanced Snowflake SQL development and query optimization
Experience designing Snowflake data models and schemas
Hands-on with Snowflake ETL / ELT pipelines
Experience with Snowflake Streams, Tasks, and Scheduling
Knowledge of Snowflake security (roles, RBAC, data masking, row access policies)
Experience with Snowflake performance tuning and cost optimization
Experience integrating Snowflake with Python and Java applications
Understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts
DevOps / Tools
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)
Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Nice to Have
Experience with Airflow, Informatica, or other ETL tools
Experience with Kafka or event-driven data pipelines
Financial services or enterprise data platform experience
Snowflake certification (preferred, not required)
Contract Details
