Position Overview
The Principal Portfolio Expansion reports directly to the Intl Portfolio Senior Director and will partner closely with portfolio team and enabling functions based in Head Office, Zug, Switzerland. The role holder is also responsible for ensuring that the international cross-functional team contributes fundamentally to international business growth and for shaping and implementing the portfolio strategy.
The Principal Portfolio Expansion will be responsible for supporting the strategy and future of specific product portfolio expansion. With our development activities in multi-cancer screening, our ‘minimal residual disease’ platform and our existing and growing suite of products to guide treatment selection the Principal Portfolio Expansion will coordinate the portfolio analysts to develop business cases for the portfolio department. These business cases will define what product offering in what Intl. market and when.
This role will be part of a team of International Portfolio Leaders to define the strategy, drive and coordinate the pre-launch preparation activities. The role will also be responsible for assessing the opportunity of our product offerings to Intl regions. The role holder will also support in the launch of these offerings to the local commercial teams.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leading development, implementation, and execution of international portfolio strategy (what, when, where how) towards launch execution.
Deliver analyses of information from various sources, including competitive intelligence, market research, and secondary data sources to create clear, complete, and compelling reports and presentations.
Be able to effectively conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to aid the prioritization of corporate strategies (new products, product expansions, etc.).
Confidently and clearly present research findings to stakeholders both in person and virtually.
Engage with external agencies to facilitate execution of Intl. strategy of the PO and Screening Business Units to advocate efforts reflective of international needs.
Ensure assigned objectives are met and that assigned projects and other work are completed on time, to high standards and within budget
Establish and foster strong teamwork partnerships within the commercial launch readiness workstream, Portfolio Analyst team and within the enterprise-wide commercial organization to support business case development.
Coordinate with Intl. Portfolio Leaders and orchestrate other functions to steer expedited product development \& market preparation in line with international needs for launch success.
Partner with cross-functional leads in R\&D, Marketing, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs, and Operations, among others, to develop and maintain program plans.

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear, informative, and timely information to cross-functional project teams.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in pipeline or strategic marketing, program management, product marketing, or pharmaceuticals/Medical Device consulting roles.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
Demonstrated proficiency in developing multiple business cases simultaneously.
Strong leadership \& business acumen, experience in leading sizable, rapidly growing organizations.
Pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit.
Strategic thinker with ability to orchestrate complex fast moving high-impact portfolio decisions.
Deep diagnostics experience with strong insights in both development and commercial aspects.
Proven ability to take products from development towards successful launch.

Preferred Qualifications
Proven business development and partnering experience.
Experience in dynamic fast-moving work environment. Strong track record and experience in building, leading and managing agile business teams, cross-functional matrix organizations as well as large-scale and globally multi-centered functional areas.
Strong and proven track record in molecular diagnostics and/or precision medicine in leadership roles
Strong and proven track record in (corporate) business development in the molecular diagnostic industry.
Strong and proven track record as executive in interacting with KOLs and Leadership teams.
The successful candidate will have a PhD/MBA or equivalent qualifications.
