Role Overview:
We are looking for Senior Full-Stack Engineer for one of our portfolio companies. This role will ensure scalability, code quality, rapid feature deployment, and strong integration with our commercial and research teams. You would work closely with the commercial team, who sets the product roadmap, this role is responsible for layering in technical constraints, risks, and opportunities presenting clear solution options that enable collaborative decision-making. You will oversee a growing team of developers, set technical standards, and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
Role Overview
Product Outcomes
Ensure products meet all required functionality per Commercial and
Product Team specifications.
Deliver quality consistent with public, user-facing applications.
Balance development tempo for rapid feature delivery with incremental improvement.
Ensure code is recyclable across platform products.
Commercial \& Cross-Business Integration
Translate the commercial roadmap into actionable development plans by applying technical constraints and feasibility analysis.
Present multiple technical approaches and trade-offs for discussion, ensuring clarity in options and impacts.
Partner with adjacent business units developing complementary solutions, ensuring: consistent, reliable timelines are maintained across all teams.
Clear, standardized reporting provides visibility of progress, huddles, and delivery expectations.
Drive strong documentation standards across specifications, architecture, and developed code (JSDoc or equivalent).
Integration points are well-documented, tested, and validated before handoff.
Keep Commercial Staff informed on all required deliverables and timing.
Internal Team
Communicate product vision and weekly objectives clearly to all team members.
Provide regular reports, and performance feedback tied to agreed outcomes.
Required Skills \& Experience
5+ years of progressive software development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of leading platform or product development in SaaS, marketplace, or multi-tenant platforms.
Demonstrated success delivering scalable, high-quality, user-facing products in fast-paced, startup or scale-up environments.
Strong background in establishing technical planning, QA, and documentation processes.
Deep knowledge of modern development practices (CI/CD, automated testing, version control, modular/component-based design).
Expertise in scalable system architecture, cloud platforms, and code reusability across multiple products.
Proficiency with project management tools (ClickUp, Jira, or similar), ensuring clear timelines, reporting, and prioritization.
Ability to translate technical complexity into clear options, risks, and trade-offs for commercial, product, and leadership teams.
Strong people leadership: hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and feedback, leading with humility and collaboration.
Salary
$110,000 - $130,000 base salary
