How you’ll make an impact

At FCC, we’re proud to support Canada’s agriculture and agri‑food industry — and data plays a critical role in how we do that. As a Data Developer, you’ll help turn complex data into trusted, high‑quality assets that enable insight‑driven decisions across the organization.

You’ll join our Data Development team supporting the Marketing and Digital Domain, where you’ll design, build and maintain scalable data solutions in an AWS‑based environment. This is a hands‑on role where your ability to write clean, smart and maintainable code will directly contribute to reliable analytics and business outcomes.

Working closely with business partners, data specialists and technology teams, you’ll help ensure data is accurate, consistent and ready to support meaningful insights. If you’re passionate about data, enjoy solving complex problems and value collaboration, you’ll feel right at home at FCC.

What you’ll do

Analyze, design and develop data solutions, including automation, integrations and unit tests

Design, implement and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines and data transformations

Build solutions that protect data integrity while ensuring consistency and reliability

Collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to translate business and data requirements into effective technical solutions

Contribute to design and code reviews by providing thoughtful, constructive feedback

Ensure data solutions and system integrations are developed and maintained efficiently and sustainably

Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production data issues

Support scalable data solutions for m arketing and d igital use cases

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field

At least six years of experience in data or software development (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

Proficiency with AWS‑based data technologies such as AWS Glue, PySpark and Python

Strong expertise in SQL and experience working with databases such as Oracle, Teradata and Amazon Redshift

Experience designing and implementing ETL / ELT processes, data pipelines and transformations

Experience working with data lakes and data warehouses

Proven ability to write clean, well‑structured and maintainable code

Experience working in a framework‑driven development environment

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version‑controlled development workflows (Git)

Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code solutions such as AWS CloudFormation

Preferred qualifications (nice to haves)

Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, EventBridge and AppFlow

Data modelling experience using Data Vault 2.0 and/or dimensional (star schema) methodologies

Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Amazon QuickSight

Experience working with marketing technologies (for example HubSpot)

Experience supporting Marketing and Digital data use cases
