PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be a part of a distributed team participating in moving our monolithic application into our cloud journey along with Azure DevOps.

Responsible for driving operational excellence for the services that a business offers to its customers to deliver an "always on" operation, year-round, at the right cost

Uses your knowledge of technology and operational best practices to drive the design, development and implementation of operational standards and capabilities for services that enable highly available, scalable \& reliable customer experiences

Research and develop optimization techniques

Design and Implementation of Deployment architecture for the application using CI/CD best practices

Developing the monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts etc

Work closely with Development team as part of Sprint Planning and scrums

Automation Mindset and SDLC implementations for SRE/DevOps Automation

Driving root cause analysis (RCA) and risk management processes

Driving ongoing improvements and efficiencies in operational practices.

QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPIERIENCE

A bachelor or master degree in IT (preferable computer science)

1+ years of experience in software development (software company or banks)

Proven experience of building and deploying Java based applications

MANDATORY SKILLS

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure

Good to have other cloud system like Google Cloud and AWS etc

Configuration Managements tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc

Strong Knowledge of CI/CD implementation, Good to have Azure Devops

Understanding of Kubernetes and able to design the CI/CD for the same

Good understanding of IaC (Infrastructure as Code) – ARM Templates, Azure Resource Manager etc

Should have strong knowledge on application \& Data Understanding of the Windows ecosystem

Automation on Shell/Bash/Python/Power Shell is must to have

Experience with Docker is a plus

Monitoring and Tools like Prometheus, AppD, Newrelic etc

Meaningful experience in DevOps \& automation: Kubernetes, Git, Github, Jenkins, Terraform, Chef, Docker

Strong understanding of Linux OS core principles, Performance and Tuning

Strong knowledge of RDBMS management and application development: Postgres, MySQL, DB2.

Working knowledge of the Kanban agile methodology

Fluent English skills

OPTIONAL SKILLS

Manage source code branching strategies and implementation in git.

Manage Continuous Integration using tools such as Jenkins \& Sonar

Build management of Java using tools such as Gradle

Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps

Exposure to middleware such as WebSphere, WebLogic, Jboss
