Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Operations Lead to oversee cloud operations and ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across AWS core services, operational excellence in production environments, and leadership in implementing ITSM and Agile best practices. This role involves guiding a team of engineers, optimizing cloud environments, and ensuring continuous improvement across infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day AWS operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost optimization.
Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS core services including EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, and related tools.
Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting frameworks using CloudWatch and third-party solutions.
Coordinate with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Manage incident, change, and problem management processes in alignment with ITSM and ServiceNow frameworks.
Drive automation and infrastructure improvements using IaC and scripting where possible.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of operational excellence.
Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile environment to support business and project objectives.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, or DevOps roles.
Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).
Experience with ServiceNow and ITSM-based operational processes.
Solid understanding of monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid setup and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect certification.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience automating operations via Python or Shell scripting.
Exposure to multi-account AWS environments and cost optimization practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per month
