Cloud Database Administrator (Cloud DBA)
We are looking for a Cloud Database Administrator (Cloud DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure cloud-based database environments across leading cloud platforms. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong database fundamentals and experience operating databases in modern cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support cloud database services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Manage relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring performance, availability, and scalability.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.
Monitor database health, performance, and security using cloud-native and third-party tools.
Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and application teams to support scalable solutions.
Apply best practices for cloud security, IAM, and networking related to databases.
Automate routine tasks using scripting and infrastructure tools.
Required Skills \& Qualifications
Hands-on experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud SQL.
Strong knowledge of SQL and database administration fundamentals.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Cosmos DB).
Experience with backup and recovery strategies and high-availability architectures.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Python, Bash).
Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security policies.
Nice to Have
Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Database Engineer.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
