🚀 We’re Hiring: Data Engineer (Permanent \| Hybrid – Ontario)
We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing data and analytics team. This role is ideal for a technically strong, curious, and proactive professional who enjoys building scalable data platforms and enabling AI-driven solutions across the enterprise.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure that support advanced analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and business intelligence use cases.
🔧 What You’ll Do
Design, build, support, and optimize robust data and ETL pipelines
Develop and maintain logical and physical data models for enterprise data warehouses and data marts
Design a scalable, AI-ready data infrastructure to support AI/ML and advanced analytics use cases
Implement and contribute to AI governance frameworks
Collaborate with application owners, data architects, data scientists, and subject matter experts
Integrate modern data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing platforms
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize nightly data pipeline jobs, ensuring data integrity and reliability
Perform performance tuning for data loads and databases
Identify trends, patterns, and insights within complex data sets
Translate business requirements into effective data and modeling strategies
Support both structured and unstructured data for machine learning and AI workloads
Partner with Release Leads to implement and enhance MLOps processes within an Agile environment
Provide technical guidance in evaluating and improving data systems, processes, and procedures
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and enable better decision-making
✅ What You Bring
Required Experience \& Skills
3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and MLOps
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
Advanced SQL expertise and experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server)
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their data services
Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MLflow
Understanding of generative AI and advanced analytics, and how AI impacts end-to-end data workflows
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Willingness to work outside core hours when required to meet project or operational deadlines

💰 Compensation \& Benefits
Bonus Eligibility: Up to 7% of annual salary
Paid Time Off:
Vacation: 15 days
Personal / Float Days: 4 days
📍 Work Arrangement
Hybrid – Ontario
2 days per week in office, 3 days remote
During the first 3 months, new hires will work 4 days per week in office to support onboarding and team integration
All remote work must be performed from a home office within Ontario
