The Corporate Finance department manages the Group's cash flow and debt, acting as a service centre for the affiliates
It ensures that the Group can meet its financial obligations and has sufficient financial means to implement its strategy and investment programme
The department maintains relationships with a diversified portfolio of financial counterparties, monitors market conditions and uncertainties. Corporate Finance is also responsible managing risks related to foreign exchange, interest rates, and counterparties
For the Corporate Finance departement, we’re looking for a Treasury Financial Advisor (m/f/x).
Job purpose
As a Treasury Financial Advisor at Fluxys, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Corporate Finance team in preparing for financing initiatives to drive the energy transition forward
Reporting directly to the Corporate Finance and Hedging manager, you will oversee various aspects of treasury operations, with a primary focus on financings (external and intercompany), contract analysis, loan documentation, credit risk assessment, budgeting and forecasting, risk management, and project coordination
Your responsibilities
Actively support in 'debt raising projects' and maintain existing programmes (e.g. RCF, commercial paper, etc.) and frameworks
Oversee the preparation and negotiation of loan documentation and financing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Monitor and ensure compliance with financial covenants, information undertakings and regulatory requirements
Provide advice when needed on the negotiation of intracompany loans with affiliated entities operating in an international context, including counterparts in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Conduct annual credit rating assessments to evaluate the creditworthiness of Fluxys Group as well as its subsidiaries and affiliates
Contribute to the preparation and delivery of budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate financial planning, alignment with strategic objectives, and timely reporting to internal stakeholders
Prepare and deliver regular treasury reports, ensuring the accurate monitoring of cash positions, financing activities, and compliance with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements
Actively manage relationships with external stakeholder including financial institutions, partners, credit rating agencies as well as internal stakeholders, such as the Controlling, M\&A and Business Development teams
Conduct market analysis to identify new market opportunities and products (sustainable/green financing, project finance) and provide management with insights into market trends and peers’ transactions
About you
Master's degree in finance, economics or a related field
Three to five years of experience in banking and/or corporate treasury roles, preferably with a focus on corporate finance
Prior experience working with legal, regulatory, and financial aspects of treasury operations, including the analysis of financing contracts and loan documentation
Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments and regulatory frameworks pertaining to financing
Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, coupled with the capacity to make well-founded financial decisions even under pressure
Adopt a strategic and reflective mindset by considering the broader organizational impact of your actions and exploring alternative solutions to complex issues
Prior experience in credit rating modelling and advisory would be highly valued
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to cultivate and nurture relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Advanced proficiency in Excel and previous experience using a TMS/ERP, preferably Integrity
Fluency in Dutch or French, in addition to English, is required
