Your Role
There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you will be working on, day-to-day;
Design, build and maintain user centric micro-apps built using front end technologies and framework hosted in AWS cloud powered by microservices
Maintain code quality and maintainability by ensuring codebase adheres to best practices, coding standards and is easy to maintain, enhancing long term quality
Participate in peer code reviews from team members to ensure quality and adherence to standards
Identify, investigate and resolve technical issues in the application, ensuring minimal downtime and system performance
Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in software engineering. Introduce new tools and techniques that improve the development lifecycle.
Identify potential risks early in development process and communicate/work closely with PSE to develop mitigation strategies.
Collaboration and cross functional work • Collaborate with product managers, designers, business analyst and quality analyst to deliver sprint goals
Collaborate and work closely with principal solution engineer and senior software engineers in the team to deliver high quality technical features
Actively share knowledge across team and ensure that new technologies are adopted across Flybuys engineering.
Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups and retrospective.
Your Experience
Proficient in front-end technologies – React, Gatsby, tailwind, CSS
Experience in anyone of programming language Golang or Typescript or Java is plus.
Solid understanding of AWS cloud services such as AWS Lambda, Dynamo DB, S3, API gateway
Experience with building pipelines to deploy AWS infrastructure as IaC using AWS CDK, CloudFormation
Experience in building mobile apps is a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge in microservices architecture and serverless solutions
Experience working with Amazon Connect is plus but not mandatory.
5+ years of software development experience with a focus on front-end and cloud-based solutions.
Demonstrated experience in building and scaling web applications with AWS services
Proven track record of delivering high-performance applications with strong user experience
Communication and collaboration - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross functional team environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality and maintainable code
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technical and business requirements
