Enough with the dribble drabble, straight to the point with this role: We are installing new leadership roles in our Dry Goods Department at PAK'nSAVE Hastings. This includes, departments grocery, chilled, frozen, liquor and trolleys. We have a few variations of the team leader role, with first and foremost the hours and days set out below.

The days and hours are as follows:

Sunday to Thursday 11:30am - 9:00pm (45 Hours per week)

Sunday and Monday 12:30pm - 9:00pm (16 Hours per week)

Friday and Saturday 12:30pm - 9:00pm (16 Hours per week)

A Dry Goods Team Leader is responsible for helping to ensure optimal performance of all Departments within Dry Goods. They are also responsible for ensuring all Health \& Safety compliance is met and additional tasks like assisting with Department alarms and general customer and staff enquiries are fielded and handled correctly. This includes allocation / supervision of staff to ensure that sufficient quantities and range of products are available for sale at the correct price at all times during opening hours.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Conducting and leading the full wave filling process.

Coordination and problem solving of any unforeseeable issues e.g. equipment breakdown, low resources etc

Identify priorities for the day for the whole Department based on the assessment of stock, team and seasonal and/or random occurrences

Facilitating digital scanning of the gaps on shelves, and initiating communication and action with relevant people accordingly

Weekly preparation of the Displays in each area.

Daily and weekly roster and time sheet checking, fielding any escalations on to the department manager.

Motivating and leading the team based on the department managers direction.

Coordinating and leading new team members arrival to the department, as well as their initial buddy-assignment for on-the-job training

To succeed in this role you will need:

At least 12 months busy retail experience. (Supermarket preferred)

Previous leadership experience or has shown previous leadership potential.

Comfortable in direct and friendly customer service.

Sound knowledge of Health \& Safety Practices, especially in MHE, Traffic management plans and manual handling

A Current Managers Certificate, LCQ, as well as a Forklift license, is highly desired but not essential for the right candidate as we can help you get these.
