Position Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Hyderabad – Fortis India (DOWC Technologies Pvt. Ltd.)

Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer who can lead by example someone who not only excels technically but also understands the business logic, data flow, and product context inside out. This role requires strong ownership, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to collaborate closely with US counterparts in delivering high-impact data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration workflows across multiple systems.
Translate business requirements into scalable data models and analytical solutions.
Review and optimize existing data processes to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Collaborate with BI and product teams to enable data-driven insights for decision-making.
Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Implement and enforce best practices in data governance, documentation, and version control.
Manage and monitor data pipelines, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Required Technical Skills
Core Stack: Python, SQL, AWS (Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda), Snowflake
ETL Tools: Airflow or similar orchestration frameworks
Data Modeling \& Warehousing: Star/Snowflake schema, dimensional modeling
Visualization Exposure: Power BI / Tableau (integration-level understanding)
Version Control \& CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins or equivalent
Bonus: Familiarity with APIs, real-time data streaming, and ML model integration
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of total experience in data engineering or similar roles
Proven ability to connect technical solutions with business objectives
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
