Candidate requirements
Relevant work experience with NPD or application development, preferably in a (B2B) commercial organization
Familiarity with RTDs, powder formulations, protein bars and shake recipe development will be an advantage
Relevant experience with collaboration across different disciplines
Ability to independently design, develop, and produce recipes, define analysis plans, execute, and report
Ability to work with accuracy and experience with analyses such as PSD, Rheometer, Texture Analyzer, pH meter, water activity measurement, etc.
Commercial sense
Good communication and project coordination skills to expand the prototyping capabilities for the local RSO. The connection of this role to the global team requires good oral and written English skills
Education:
Minimum applied science degree (Bachelor) with more than 3 years of work experience, preferably in food technology

Main Purpose
As an Application Developer, you are responsible for supporting the development of a broad range of applications with our ingredients under the guidance of our Application Experts (based in the Netherlands) and local TSS. You will play a crucial role in working on customers’ assignments to help them create new products with our ingredients. You will also work on creating a variety of inspiring applications to showcase our ingredients in end consumer products. In this way, you will support the growth and strengthening of our relationships with our customers in the fast-paced nutrition market in the APAC region. You will be part of the APAC Technical Sales team and work closely with commercial colleagues. You will also interact with the global team of application developers and colleagues from the development and research teams based in the Netherlands as well as those based in Singapore Development Centre.
Accountabilities
In this position, your tasks and responsibilities include:
Developing applications using our ingredients in various formats such as ready-to-drink, powders/shakes, bars, and yoghurt, based on internal and customer requests
Working closely with regional and global Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) and Sales colleagues to provide applications that fulfil customer requirements
Collaborating with Marketing and Application Experts to execute application roadmaps for the region
Designing and executing experiments and analyses independently and reporting the findings
Managing the preparation, execution, analysis, and reporting of lab, and pilot scale experiments in collaboration with R\&D colleagues, both in Singapore and in Wageningen
Building and maintaining a network with colleagues within FCI R\&D and Singapore Development Centre (including product, nutritional, sensory, and process technology experts) and external partners (e.g., suppliers and customers)
Documenting application knowledge and sharing it with the rest of Global TSS\& Applications team
Maintaining of the local lab and keeping stock of ingredients and application samples
