Job Title: Azure Data Engineer - Telematics
Duration: Initial 3-month contract (with scope to extend)
Contract Type: Outside IR35
Location: UK Remote
Fruition Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join a leading professional services organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to support a key data programme, working within a collaborative delivery team and engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.
You will take ownership of consolidating and transforming data from multiple source systems, ensuring high-quality, accurate and compliant data outputs. You will lead data manipulation and pipeline development activities, working end-to-end across ingestion, transformation and delivery, while helping to establish best practice across the organisation's Azure data platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
Consolidate and transform data from multiple internal and external data sources
Ensure data accuracy, quality and compliance with internal governance standards
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements
Support optimisation and performance tuning of existing data processes
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
Required Skills \& Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Platform technologies, including Databricks and Data Factory
Proven experience working with Telematics, including the ingestion, transformation and modelling of high-volume, time-series data from vehicle, sensor or IoT sources.
Proven experience delivering complex ETL solutions
Solid programming experience using Python, SQL and PySpark
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a diplomatic and collaborative working style
Experience working within professional services or regulated environments is desirable
