Job Description

About Fundbox:

Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy, but they're constantly constrained by cash flow. We're changing that.

At Fundbox, we're building embedded lending infrastructure that delivers unsecured working capital to small businesses at the exact moment they need it—fast, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated into the software they already use. We partner with industry-leading platforms to make financial access feel invisible.

This is mission-driven work with real impact: every system you build helps a small business grow, hire, and thrive.

We're scaling our US engineering presence as part of a global team. This is your chance to get in early and shape how we build.

You'll be building core components of our embedded lending platform—the APIs and services that power credit decisions, partner integrations, and financial products for thousands of small businesses. This isn't maintenance work; you're architecting new systems and solving real distributed systems challenges.

What makes this role different:

Mission that matters:

Your code directly enables small businesses to access capital and grow. You'll see the real-world impact of your work.

Global collaboration:

You'll work with engineers in Israel (Tel Aviv Office) and Georgia (Tbilisi Office) —different perspectives, follow-the-sun development, and a truly distributed engineering culture.

Early-stage influence:

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, US, you'll get architectural ownership and technical impact earlier than you would at a big tech company. We're a focused team building critical financial infrastructure, and you'll have direct influence on technical decisions and architecture as we scale.

Invest in your growth:

Professional development budget, exposure to system design decisions, and real leadership opportunities as the team expands.

Engineering Culture:

We hire people we trust and give them autonomy to do great work. High ownership, low micromanagement—you'll own your domain and make decisions without someone looking over your shoulder. Independence doesn't mean isolation: we help each other succeed through thoughtful code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Everyone here is mission-oriented and motivated by impact, not just shipping features. We invest in great dev tools solid CI/CD, modern AWS stack) and bring energy and care to our work. High integrity, no politics, no BS. We move fast but we're not a burnout culture.
