Join our dynamic team as a Product Owner II! In this role, you’ll support the team of developers, ensuring continuity of sprint cadence, and backlog management. Maintain alignment between business stakeholders and development delivery, sustain progress on critical initiatives. You’ll be the liaison between business and technical teams, providing clarity, prioritization, and decision-making support to ensure delivery timelines are met.
The ideal candidate will be based in one of our Home Office locations in Vancouver or Calgary.
What Will You Be Doing?
Creating, refining, and prioritizing initiatives, epics, and user stories across development pods
Acting as Technical or Business Product Owner during sprint ceremonies
Partnering with PMO and technical leads to prepare sprint backlogs and ensure delivery readiness
Balancing priorities between bug fixes, hotfixes, and new feature development
Contributing to the evolution of Agile methodology within IT in partnership with PMO
Overseeing digital and data initiatives supporting web, mobile, and back-office platforms
Ensuring product requirements are well-documented, acceptance criteria are defined, and deliverables align with business needs
Driving initiatives that support FYi’s integration platform, data platform, and business applications (e.g., booking, subscription, insurance, recalls)
Monitoring delivery progress and ensure timely escalation of risks or blockers
Serving as liaison between business stakeholders and development teams. Facilitating regular touchpoints with stakeholders to validate priorities and clarify requirements
Coordinating with support teams to capture, triage, and prioritize bug reports and enhancement requests
Ensuring stakeholder needs are translated into actionable work items for development teams
Supporting QA cycles by validating delivered features against requirements, and tracking performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Ensuring sprint ceremonies run effectively (planning, refinement, demos, retrospectives)
Provide timely reporting on backlog health, sprint progress, and delivery outcomes
As The Successful Candidate You Have:
3–5 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a related IT role
A bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Practical experience collaborating with Agile/Scrum teams, managing backlogs, and supporting sprint ceremonies
Experience with digital platforms (web, mobile, e-commerce) as well as data and integration projects
Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence
Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, SQL, Power Platform, Data Warehouse
An understanding of QA practices and ability to validate delivered features
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple competing demands effectively

Bilingualism English/French is considered an asset

FYihealth group aims to create a comprehensive rewards package to attract and retain top talent. The expected compensation for this position is between $79,700 to $90,000 annually considering factors like experience, skills, and qualifications. Base pay is just one component of our overall Total Rewards offering.
