Role Overview
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for operating, administering, and continuously improving cloud platforms, Google Workspace for Education, and campus IT infrastructure in a managed services environment. This role focuses on access management, security, cloud operations, education platform integration, and day-to-day service reliability under defined SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage IAM and access control across Google Workspace and AWS.
- Administer Google Workspace for Education, including security, user lifecycle, and Classroom operations.
- Support AWS managed services: governance, security monitoring, cost controls, and automation.
- Integrate education platforms (LMS/SIS) using SSO and standard APIs.
- Design, configure, and operate campus network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, VLAN, VPN, security).
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and support backup, DR, and compliance activities.
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and deliver monthly operational reports.
Required Skills \& Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Cloud, System, or Network Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace for Education.
- Solid knowledge of IAM, SSO (SAML/OIDC).
- Experience operating AWS environments.
- Strong networking fundamentals.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
- AWS Well-Architected Review experience.
- Knowledge of LMS, SIS, OneRoster.
- AWS or Google Cloud certifications.
