Jacksons Hotel \& Leisure Centre, Ballybofey, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Leisure Centre Manager to lead the gym and leisure facilities within our well-established hotel. About the RoleAs Leisure Centre Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our traditional yet well-maintained leisure centre. Our facilities are enjoyed by both hotel guests and loyal local members, and we pride ourselves on providing a friendly, personal service in a relaxed and professional setting.
You will lead by example, ensuring high standards of customer care, health \& safety, and team engagement, while maintaining the reliability and character of an established leisure offering.
About The Role
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operation of the gym and leisure centre, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Manage, train, and motivate the leisure team to deliver consistently high standards of service
Build strong relationships with members and guests, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere
Ensure full compliance with health \& safety and operational standards
Manage rotas, staffing levels, and basic budgets effectively
Work closely with hotel management to support guest satisfaction and membership retention
Identify opportunities to enhance services while respecting the established nature of the facility
About YouPrevious experience managing a gym, leisure centre, or similar facility
A hands-on leader who enjoys being visible, approachable, and involved in daily operations
Strong people-management and communication skills
A genuine interest in health, fitness, and customer wellbeing
Comfortable working within a traditional leisure centre environment
Relevant leisure, fitness, or pool plant qualifications are an advantage

Lifeguard and Swim instructor qualifications
