Resort Project Manager

Location:

onsite in the Caribbean (various locations in the Caribbean available) \- This is an international post and

relocation will be required.

We are seeking an experienced Resort Project Manager to lead the end\-to\-end delivery of resort new builds, renovations, and capital improvement projects across luxury hospitality properties in the Caribbean. As the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of planning, design, and construction — ensuring brand standards, guest experience goals, and operational efficiency are fully integrated. You will be responsible for managing timelines, budgets, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional, on\-brand resort environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and construction of resort developments, including guest room upgrades, public area enhancements, back\-of\-house infrastructure, restaurants, spas, pools, and beachfront amenities.

Coordinate project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution from concept through to final handover.

Ensure brand identity, guest experience, and design standards are accurately incorporated into every phase of the project.

Supervise the full project lifecycle: master planning, architectural and engineering coordination, contractor tendering, construction oversight, and final acceptance.

Manage multi\-disciplinary teams of consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors, and local trades across complex resort environments.

Oversee renovation work in operating resorts, minimizing disruption to guests and operations through meticulous phasing and stakeholder communication.

Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, value engineering, and reporting.

Enforce quality control and health \& safety compliance across all construction activities.

Maintain all necessary documentation, approvals, schedules, and closeout procedures in a structured, auditable format.

Provide monthly reporting on project progress, risks, budget status, and strategic updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications \& Experience:

Professional accreditation preferred: PMP, MRICS, JIQS, or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or project management, with a strong preference for resort or hospitality projects.

Proven success managing complex, high\-value projects across multiple locations or international environments.

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, MEP systems, and high\-end fit\-out finishes relevant to luxury resorts.

Experience with live\-site construction (managing renovations while maintaining hotel/resort operations).

Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and tools (Excel, Visio, etc.).

Familiarity with Caribbean construction practices, permitting, and labour markets is highly desirable.

Key Competencies:

Ability to deliver resort projects on time, within budget, and to world\-class quality standards.

Skilled in interpreting architectural drawings, technical specifications, and buildability assessments.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to align cross\-functional teams toward a common vision.

A hands\-on, solution\-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and planning abilities.
