About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Sr Software Engineer to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence Team( ( Data \& AI/ML Team) . This role focuses on building and scaling data-driven and AI/ML workloads on AWS, leveraging cutting-edge cloud services, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in AWS services, GenAI (Bedrock), ML (SageMaker), automation scripting, and modern DevOps tools.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, operations engineers, architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions that you build.

Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Cloud Architects to optimize solutions for performance, cost, and scalability.

Ensure best practices in cloud security, compliance, and monitoring are followed.

Support automation of operational tasks and proactive monitoring of AI/ML workloads.

Lead technical discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud

Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure as code.

Build reusable pipelines for application deployments.

Write and maintain code for automating the creation of scalable/resilient systems/infrastructure with a focus on immutability and containers.

Develop, implement, and test automated data backup and recovery, and disaster recovery procedures across multiple regions.

Write and maintain clear, concise documentation, runbooks and operational standards including infrastructure diagrams.

Drive Automation efforts across the organization utilizing Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Terraform, Configuration Management, and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) tools such as Jenkins.

Design and deploy scalable, highly available , and fault tolerant distributed systems.

Continuously identify , adopt, \& refine best practices.

Educate/mentor product teams and junior engineers.

What you will need:

MS or BS degree in computer science or related focus, or equivalent experience with 4-7 yrs in AWS cloud , infrastructure management and automation development s.

Must have:

Hands-on expertise in AWS services : Bedrock, SageMaker, EMR, Lambda, IAM, S3, Step Functions, CloudWatch , Serverless services etc.

Experience with Terraform ( IaC ) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

Good knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and pipeline automation.

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts , MLOps workflows, and cloud-based ML lifecycle management.

Understanding of Agentic AI concepts and experience in implementing autonomous/Agent driven AI workflows.

Strong programming skills in Python , p roficiency in Shell scripting.

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required

Excellent communication and prioritization skills.

Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.

Owns success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions.

Strong desire to improve upon their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies
