About the Role As Digital Technology Solutions \& Strategy (DTSS) transitions to a more integrated and outcome-driven digital delivery model, we are seeking a Product Owner to take hands-on responsibility for the success of specific enterprise platforms and digital products. Reporting to the Platform \& Product Owner, this role focuses on delivering enhancements, user-centric features, integrations, and continuous improvements to platforms central to governance, development operations, and integration workflows—including Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), ServiceNow, Copado, Cloud ALM or other SAP CI/CD tools, and Workato—while maintaining awareness of how these platforms interact with the broader Gavi application landscape (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Zycus, DarwinBox, Sage, and Power Platform). The Product Owner is embedded within the delivery process and works closely with business stakeholders, analysts, developers, and vendors to prioritize features, manage backlogs, and drive delivery in alignment with strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities Product Ownership \& Backlog Management

Act as the day-to-day product owner for one or more enterprise platforms or digital products, with a focus on governance, workflow, and integration platforms (e.g., Atlassian, ServiceNow, Copado, Cloud ALM, Workato).

Maintain and groom a prioritized product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams.

Translate business needs into user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.

Deliver features and improvements in alignment with roadmap goals, technical constraints, and stakeholder expectations.

Support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives—ensuring delivery cadence remains predictable and user-focused.

Track and communicate progress, risks, and delivery outcomes across internal and external stakeholders.

User Experience \& Adoption

Engage users to gather feedback, validate priorities, and improve adoption of platform features particularly within governance, DevOps, and integration processes.

Collaborate with change, training, and support teams to ensure successful rollouts and sustained value realization.

Coordinate with vendors and system integrators to deliver platform enhancements and manage technical dependencies.

Ensure vendor deliverables meet quality, timeline, and contractual expectations.

Continuous Improvement

Use metrics and feedback to inform prioritization and refine platform functionality.

Identify opportunities to enhance usability, data quality, and process automation.

Your Experience and Skills Academic

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

5+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or delivery roles in IT or enterprise systems.

Experience with platforms supporting governance, DevOps, or integration—such as Atlassian, ServiceNow, CI/CD tools, or integration platforms—is highly desirable.

Agile or Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.

Delivery \& Technical Skills

Ability to define user stories, prioritize backlogs, and manage product lifecycle activities.

Understanding of enterprise IT delivery processes, platform constraints, and integration needs, including workflow automation and CI/CD practices.

Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence.

Written and spoken fluency in English.

French is a plus.
