Senior Data Engineer – Utrecht (Hybrid)

Your Role

You’ll collaborate with a product team of data engineers, analysts, and consultants to build and maintain our current application. You’ll own technical decisions—tool selection, infrastructure choices, coding standards—to ensure best practices, scalability, and reliability. You’ll also join the senior tech team to coordinate development and integration across products.

Tech Environment

AWS (EKS/Kubernetes), MemGraph, Databricks, Koalas, MongoDB (DocumentDB), custom APIs, SQS queues, CI/CD with GitHub Actions \& ArgoCD, monitoring with CloudWatch \& Grafana, IaC with Terraform.

What You’ll Do

Design \& implement scalable Python-based applications for high-volume simulations.

Integrate monitoring \& alerting systems for reliability.

Improve CI/CD pipelines.

Lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

6+ years in software/data engineering.

Strong Python and distributed systems experience.

AWS, EKS/Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps background.

IaC (Terraform) is a plus.

Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

Fluent in English (extra languages are a bonus).
