Job Overview
To continue building out our data engineering team, we are seeking a committed and motivated individual with strong technical skills and a passion for data-driven solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex data challenges, contribute to innovative projects, and grow into advanced areas such as machine learning and cloud-based data architecture.
The successful candidate will have solid experience in database architecture, design, and integration approaches, with a strong focus on SQL and Python.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, interpret, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Evaluate business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
Build reusable Python scripts for data preparation and ML modeling.
Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive analytics.
Combine raw information from diverse systems into structured datasets.
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
Maintain and document datasets for internal and external use.
Requirements
Experience: 2+ years in data engineering or a related role.
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL expertise in Oracle and Postgres (PL/SQL, complex queries, optimizations).
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ML tasks (Pandas, PySpark preferred).
Hands-on experience with SQL database design and data warehousing concepts.
Experience building data pipelines (Azure experience desirable).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to partner with analysts, product managers, and DBAs.
Team-oriented with good self-management.
Education: Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field.
