As a Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the engineering team, turning innovative ideas into reality. You will work on the services powering digital exams and the provider platform, writing code that directly impacts users. What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain features for online vision tests and the vision care platform.
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, upholding high standards for quality and compliance.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to bring new ideas to life.
Take ownership of features from concept to deployment, directly impacting patients and doctors.
Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
5 years of professional software engineering experience.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering results.
Start-up or entrepreneurial experience preferred.
Experience developing with key AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
Proficiency in backend development with Node.js and/or Python.
Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Redux) and JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience writing effective unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Nice to have
Experience with both AWS and GCP.
Strong UI/UX sensibility and high visual standards.
AI proficiency, particularly in generative AI implementations.
Experience with Ruby on Rails.
