Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in SAS EG, SAS DI Studio, and advanced SAS programming to lead data integration, transformation, and reporting initiatives within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and complex data validation, along with the ability to guide technical teams and collaborate with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of data integration and ETL workflows using SAS EG and SAS DI Studio.
Oversee and contribute to SAS coding, data management, reporting, and metadata management using SAS Formats/Informats.
Utilize SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, and SAS Stat to support advanced data processes and analytical solutions.
Perform data analysis, quality checks, validation, and transformation across large, complex datasets.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through DATA-step programming, SAS procedures, and SAS functions.
Work closely with teams to support data warehousing, BI initiatives, and regulatory or business reporting requirements.
Provide technical leadership, best practices, and mentorship to team members working on integration and ETL projects.
Collaborate with teams on Alteryx workflows and support visualization needs in Tableau (willingness to learn Tableau if needed).
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience working with SAS EG, SAS DI Studio, and advanced SAS programming.
Proven expertise in data integration, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts.
Demonstrated experience validating, cleansing, and transforming complex datasets.
Experience in the banking or financial services domain is highly preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
Willingness to learn Tableau if not already experienced.
Nice to Have
Experience working with Alteryx for data processing and automation.
Exposure to Tableau dashboards and visual analytics.

Pay: $110,237.47-$130,651.28 per year
