Job Summary:
The
Data Engineer
will design, build, and optimize
data pipelines
to support large-scale banking initiatives. This role focuses on
data ingestion, transformation, integration, and performance tuning
, while ensuring accuracy, scalability, and efficiency in cloud-based systems. The engineer will also troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to innovative solutions in a hybrid Toronto-based team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows.
Perform
performance tuning
and optimize large-scale data pipelines.
Debug and troubleshoot complex data processing issues.
Recommend technical solutions to support enterprise-level banking systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs.
Required Experience:
6+ months to several years in
data engineering
roles (banking/enterprise projects preferred)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Prior work in banking or enterprise-scale financial systems
Stakeholder management in large organizational environments
