WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
GMV is looking for a highly motivated frontend developer trainee for its activities in the areas of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM), including related engineering activities. GMV is a leading company in the space sector in particular in Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and in Space Traffic Management (STM). GMV engineers use cutting-edge technologies to develop the solutions of the future. We are looking for engineers who bring new ideas, new ways of working, and above all, passion for challenges. As an engineer, you will work on specific projects related to SST and STM with opportunities to switch team, location and project as GMV grows and evolves. Space Traffic Management (STM) is becoming a more and more relevant topic in the space sector due to the need to manage the traffic of the population of objects orbiting the Earth, both space debris and operational satellites, which is growing currently and is expected to increase even more dramatically due to the launch of mega-constellations. You will have following functions in a Research \& Development project:
Build small UI components (buttons, cards, forms) using HTML, CSS and React Connect frontend views to backend REST endpoints, handle loading/error states, and display data safely and clearly.
Write maintainable code following code style guides, add comments where helpful, and participate in code reviews to learn best practices.
Add basic unit tests for components and simple end-to-end checks for key user flows (e.g., form submission, navigation).
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for Engineering Students with background and interest in Software Engineering: React, CSS and HTML.
We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:
UX/UI
Java
Python
Docker
