Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

3 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.

Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including software design.

Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience building prototypes or applications.

Experience with data structures and algorithms.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) techniques such as prompt engineering, dual encoders, and embedding vectors.

Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will guide customers on how to configure and deploy their Google Cloud infrastructure consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, billing and more. You will consult with customers on how to best design their cloud applications for optimal scaling including CDN design, load balancer setup, caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration and delivery pipeline, and more. You will travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower customers. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure. Solve complex cloud platform challenges.

Work with customers to design and implement Cloud based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.

Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.

Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.

Travel up to 30% for in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
