Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with software development in programming language TypeScript.
2 years of experience building developer tools.
Knowledge in JavaScript advanced features; familiar with browsers' compatibility.
About The Job
In this role, you will be responsible for the TypeScript and JavaScript languages, libraries, and toolings in google3, from the smallest web apps up through the Search, Gmail and YouTube. WYou will support the latest in JavaScript standards, TypeScript features, and world-class TS/JS optimizations that are safe, fast, and easy at every scale.
Write web applications including all of Google’s largest, most important web products (Gmail, Web Search, YouTube, Cloud, and more). Our team is responsible for supporting the TypeScript and Javascript developer experience, language features, build pipeline, and compilers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Help evolve the google3 javascript and typescript ecosystem.
Implement compiler (Typescript and Javascript) improvements and features.
Write design documents, author and review CLs.
Contribute to shared team responsibilities.
Help Google web developers build products using our tooling.
