About the role:
Join our Mission Capabilities Unit - you can work from Wellington, Blenheim or Auckland.
You'll be part of the Developer Experience (DevX) team, whose mission is to give the NZ intelligence community the tools they need to work quickly and securely. In this role you'll design, build and maintain two critical applications that support security vetting and intelligence investigation workflows.
What you'll bring:
You will be someone who is experienced working with containers, Kubernetes, and Linux, but would be comfortable working on other things such as:
Database fundamentals in one or more of ElasticSearch, Redis, MariaDB, and Postgres
Monitoring tools, e.g. Prometheus, Splunk
Desirable extra experience to have:
Confidence working with Windows and other Microsoft technologies
Experience with RedHat OpenShift
Experience with Appian
Proficiency with automation tools, e.g. Terraform, Ansible
Proficiency with data flow tools, e.g. Kafka, NiFi

Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
