Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated
Software Engineer
to join our technical team in Sydney. You will contribute to building and maintaining backend systems and data platforms that support GreenIOT’s energy and IoT-enabled solutions. This role balances hands-on coding with collaboration across product, operations, and ICT teams, making it ideal for candidates with solid engineering fundamentals and a desire to grow in backend development.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain reliable backend services to support energy-related and data-driven platforms.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal systems, operational tools and third-party integrations.
Support system architecture planning, contribute to technical solution design and performance optimisation.
Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for reporting and analytics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into software solutions.
Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation and continuous integration practices.
Troubleshoot and optimise production systems to support stability and security.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
At least 2–4 years of software development experience (backend focus preferred).
Experience building RESTful services or server-based logic.
Comfortable working with databases and data-processing concepts.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies.
Strong communication skills in English \& Mandarin.
