Job Overview
This role is ideal for a seasoned SAP HR ABAP expert who can lead technical design, build complex HR/Payroll solutions, and partner closely with functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable enhancements across the SAP HCM landscape.
About the Role
You will serve as a senior technical lead within the SAP HCM ecosystem, driving custom development across PA, OM, Payroll, Time Management, and Benefits. You’ll architect solutions, guide junior developers, and ensure the technical integrity of all HR system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of custom solutions across SAP HCM modules (PA, OM, PY, TM, Benefits).
Develop and maintain ABAP objects including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts, and Workflows.
Collaborate with HR functional teams to translate business requirements into clear, complete technical specifications.
Review and approve technical specs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to development standards.
Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize existing code across HR/Payroll modules.
Support integrations with SuccessFactors, Payroll engines, and third‑party systems.
Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, naming conventions, and documentation standards.
Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and quality assurance activities.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to junior ABAP developers.
Lead technical workshops and contribute to overall solution architecture and design discussions.
Required Experience
10+ years of SAP HR ABAP development experience, specifically within HR/Payroll modules.
Deep hands‑on experience with PA, OM, Payroll, Time Management, and Benefits.
Strong expertise in Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms (Adobe/SAP Script), and Workflows.
Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable technical solutions in SAP HCM.
Experience collaborating with functional HR teams and translating requirements into technical deliverables.
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with at least one full end‑to‑end implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with S/4HANA (H4S4) environments.
Exposure to SAP BTP and Integration Suite.
Familiarity with SuccessFactors integrations and hybrid HR landscapes.
