Job Description
Perform data analysis and technical support for core systems of a securities firm, including trading, market data, clearing, risk control, brokerage, and wealth management.
Work with data development teams on data interface design, data modeling, KPI definitions, and data platform development.
Optimize SQL queries, batch jobs, and ETL pipelines to improve performance and stability.
Troubleshoot production data issues such as data latency, inconsistency, and report errors.
Support regulatory reporting systems (SFC, exchanges) including data validation and automation.
Assist in building data management and application platform.
Provide data and technical support to business units such as brokerage, investment banking, institutional business, and back-office operations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, FinTech, or related fields.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) or middleware (Kafka/ Redis).
2+ years of experience in financial IT or the technology department of a securities firm preferred.
Understanding of core securities system data structures including orders, trades, clearing files, and client account data.
Experience with ETL or data warehouse development.
Skilled in Linux/Windows Server with scripting abilities (Shell/Python).
Basic programming knowledge in Java/Python/.NET.
Experience in production support and issue troubleshooting is a strong plus.
Familiarity with big data or data lake technologies (Spark, Flink, Hadoop, Hive, Hudi).
Understanding of containerization technologies such as K8s and Docker.
Knowledge of exchange and regulatory reporting data standards.
Experience in EDW / ODS / DWH projects within securities firms.
