Job Description

👋🏽

About Hale

Hale is a tech startup building the new infrastructure for women’s gynaecological health.

We combine a tech platform that runs clinical protocols, telemedicine consultations and digital triage with a curated network of specialists to deliver high-quality, non-hospital care. We started from underserved conditions such as vulvodynia and endometriosis, and are now expanding into broader gynaecology.

Hale is based in Italy and has raised funding from institutional investors. Today, it has a core team of 5 full-time people across operations, tech, marketing, and strategy, supported by a part-time clinical lead and external collaborators on design, SEO, and legal.

We are building a strong team to make Hale the reference point women turn to when they need gynaecological care, and to scale this model across Europe.

🤌🏼

The role

We are looking for a senior Product Manager to own Hale’s product development as we scale from the first version of the product to a fully structured platform. Someone who knows how to frame problems, validate assumptions, iterate fast, and translate insights, needs, and constraints into concrete product decisions. You will work:

side by side with the CEO on product strategy, prioritization, and monetization

very closely with engineering to bring solutions to life

with clinical, ops, and marketing teams to ensure the product supports real user journeys

This is a

founding team role

with real ownership and long-term impact. At the beginning, you’ll be the only product person, and the role is hands-on by design.

Our offices are in Milan. We are open to working remotely with people based within ±1 hour CET; however, we value working together and will align on how to spend recurring time in person. This role is offered under an

Italian employment contract

.

👩🏼‍💻

What you’ll do

Own the product discovery and iteration process, from problem framing to shipped features

Turn messy inputs (qualitative feedback, constraints, intuition, business needs) into structured problems and clear product directions

Ask the right questions, consistently challenge assumptions, and dig into the

why

of the business

Define and defend priorities

Design and validate new product experiences, including when it makes sense to adapt or reuse best practices from other products

Define high-level user flows and end-to-end experiences (not UI), collaborating with designers where needed

Balance user experience, clinical quality, and speed of execution

🦄

What we’re looking for

3+ years of experience in product management roles

Strong experience in product methodology: discovery, validation, iteration, prioritization

Proven ability to translate problems and insights into real, shipped products

End-to-end ownership of the product roadmap

Strong ability to define and track the KPIs that drive business outcomes

Experience working closely with engineering teams on execution

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Fluency in English; Italian is a strong pro

Nice to have: experience at building paid consumer products

This role is for you if

You are strong at turning unstructured inputs into structured product thinking

You prefer building and learning over polishing

You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information

You can say no, defend priorities, and explain trade-offs clearly

You like working very closely with founders and shaping strategy, not just execution

You’re excited to build a product with real, measurable impact on millions of women

This role is not for you if

You expect well-defined requirements and long-term roadmaps upfront

You mainly want to focus on coordination or UI/UX

You prefer highly structured environments with fixed processes

You are uncomfortable with challenging decisions or taking responsibility for outcomes

💙

What we offer

Salary range:

€40,000–€70,000

(depending on profile)

Meaningful

equity package

as part of the founding team

Maximum flexibility around location, holidays, and time management. What matters is working well.

A quarterly in-person team retreat, fully covered by the company

Welfare benefits, focused on the things that matter most to you

High ownership and direct exposure to company-level decisions

The chance to build a product from the ground up, having a tangible impact on million women

If this role excites you (even if you don’t meet every single requirement) we’d love to hear from you.
