junior to mid-level candidates
eager to contribute to impactful AI projects while advancing their academic and professional development through this unique dual program.
Core Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience writing Python code
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Hands-on experience with AI code agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, or RooCode
Proficient in writing and debugging Dockerfiles
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions)
Familiar with backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
Capable of setting up local development environments (devcontainers, .env, Makefiles)
Nice to Have
Experience with additional languages (C, C++, Rust, Go, JS, TS, etc.)
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers
Experience building LLM evaluation tools or scoring systems
Strong understanding of testing practices: unit, integration, functional (pytest)
Knowledge of how agent systems are structured, evaluated, and measured
What You’ll Be Working On
Developing sandboxes for safely running and testing AI agents
Building tools for writing tasks and test cases for agents
Designing CI/CD pipelines to run checks and evaluate agent performance
Creating developer environments for experts working on these tasks
Providing repo templates and scripts to streamline onboarding for new contributors
Developing interfaces for tracking task inputs and agent results
Apprenticeship Summary:
Tuition fee scholarship to study a full degree in Computer Science at Harbour.Space
6 hours internship per day at Toloka

Candidate’s commitment:
Study Commitment:
3 hours/day
You will complete 14 modules (each three weeks long) in one year. Daily class workload is 3 hours, plus homework to complete in your own time.
Work Commitment:
6 hours/day
