You will be joining a talented data engineering team that’s at the heart of this transformation, helping to shape how the firm delivers data as a service to its clients.
The Role
We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer with 1–2 years of experience who is passionate about turning unstructured text data into meaningful insights.
In this contract role, you’ll work hands-on with Python, web scraping, and data pipeline development to extract, process, and structure text data, powering the firm’s analytical products. Your work will directly contribute to how legal and historical data is transformed into valuable client insights.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines to collect, clean, and process text data from multiple sources
Develop and automate web scraping scripts in Python to extract data efficiently and reliably
Work with large volumes of unstructured text data, structuring it into usable formats for analysis and reporting
Collaborate with the wider data team to integrate data pipelines into client-facing products
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the workflow
Contribute ideas to improve automation, efficiency, and scalability of data processes
Qualifications and Skills
1–2 years of experience in a data engineering, data processing, or Python development role
Strong hands-on skills with Python
Experience with web scraping, API integrations, or text data processing
Basic understanding of data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data storage solutions such as SQL or cloud storage
Experience working with unstructured or text-based datasets is highly valued
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
