As we expand our team, we are looking for a talented and passionate UX/UI Design Engineer Intern to join our growing design team.

Position Overview:

As a UX/UI Design Engineer Intern at Hawk Aerospace, you will be involved in the design and development of user interfaces for a variety of aerospace-related applications. You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and design teams to ensure that the user experience and interface design align with the needs of our customers and stakeholders. This internship will give you hands-on experience in user-centric design processes, prototyping, and UI development in the high-tech aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in designing and developing user-friendly and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, and designers) to gather requirements and create user-centric design solutions.

Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.

Contribute to usability testing and user feedback sessions to improve UI/UX design.

Design and maintain UI components, ensuring consistency across various platforms and devices.

Participate in design reviews, offering insights and feedback on UI design and usability.

Support the integration of design concepts into the product development process, including ensuring smooth implementation of UI designs.

Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in UX/UI design, especially in the context of the aerospace industry.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), or a related field.

Strong knowledge of design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or similar.

Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (for designing responsive web applications).

A portfolio demonstrating previous UX/UI design projects, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong attention to detail and passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing designs.

Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Prior experience or interest in aerospace technology is a plus, but not mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in creating interactive prototypes using tools like InVision or Framer.

Familiarity with design systems and version control tools like Git.

Knowledge of motion design and animations is a plus.

Understanding of user testing methodologies and techniques.
