About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure backend systems that power cutting-edge solutions for the aerospace industry. While the position is based in Europe, the company embraces a flexible, remote-friendly approach, allowing you to collaborate effectively from almost anywhere. Your work will directly contribute to delivering world-class solutions that support critical operations across global aviation.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
Collaborate closely with Product and AI teams to integrate advanced technologies into the platform.
Work with core backend technologies such as
Python
,
MongoDB
, and
FastAPI
, deployed in
Azure Cloud
environments.
Optimize system performance and implement best practices for architecture, security, and maintainability.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and quality assurance processes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience in designing and deploying scalable backend systems.
7+ years of experience with Python
, and solid knowledge of MongoDB, FastAPI, and Azure Cloud. Familiarity with Redis is a plus.
A proactive, independent mindset with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
Ability to communicate effectively, share ideas, and collaborate within a team environment.
Experience working in Agile/Kanban frameworks and applying lean principles.
Detail-oriented approach to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Understanding of backend performance optimization and security standards.
